Programme Measures: The services requested under this assignment aims at the enhancement of the living conditions as well we the development of the touristic potential for selected sites in the Municipalities of Progradec and Pustec as well as other locations throughout Albania to be determined at a later stage. The measures shall lead to regional economic growth in the selected Municipalities by sustainable, environment- and climate friendly infrastructure investments. The Project concerns the upgrading of urban and rural infrastructure and improvement of touristic sites, such as the rehabilitation of waterfronts and promenades, facade upgrade, urban requalification of public squares, access roads, parking spaces and lightning as well as the improvement of water and wastewater supplies at these sites. The expected outcome is the provision of new touristic destinations, fully furnished and accessible. The first phase includes investments in already indicatively determined sites, based on existing concept studies, in the Municipalities of Pogradec and Pustec at cost of 20-30 million EUR. Additional work packages amounting to 40-50 million EUR may be defined in other areas in the country. |
